A designed series of SUR, 6 axis‑robots operated by our modern copyright vision system for products’ characteristics detection in production processes, is our company’s newest offer. They can be applied in various branches of industry such as: food industry, chemical or electromechanical industry. Depending on the components applied, the robots can be used for pick‑and‑place operations, palletizing, packing, cutting, drilling, assembling (gluing, soldering, welding), polishing or painting. The number of applications is limited only by the needs of the users. The robots cooperate also with vision systems. The three sizes of robots have been developed in order to ensure the possibility of optimal choice for the specific demands and working space restrictions.

SUR5 Robot has the lifting capacity of 5 kg in the entire operating range within the radius of 1000mm. Simultaneous bringing together of each axes allows for operating with high speed while maintaining high-precision positioning and repeatability of maneuvers. This quality predisposes it for applications in the restricted space and of higher precision. The robot can operate either fixed to the floor, the wall or the celling. SUR5 is characterized by modular construction enabling fast adaptation to specific customer’s expectations, accounting for the scope and lifting.
Harmonic Drive gears allow for high positioning accuracy mainly through practically backlash‑free design. Motors stators of the same manufacturer are assembled in the main body of the robot designed by SORTER. The proper selection of drives’ parameters determines optimal balance between torques and mass of the particular joints in SUR series robots.

 

SUR15 Robot has the greater lifting capacity in the entire operating range within the radius equaling 1250 mm, thus is can pick‑and‑place larger items and operate with the usage of bigger grabs. Applied in the biggest three joints, highly precise Spinea cycloidal gear units together with Beckhoff servo drivers and rotary absolute encoders guarantee high accuracy and reproducibility of robot’s motion. The speed in the range of ½ revolutions per second in the particular joints additionally stimulates the optimization of production processes the robots are dedicated to.

 

The largest of the robots SUR35 has a very high lifting capacity equaling 35kg and operating range within the radius up to 1750mm. It can pick‑and‑place collective packages and operate using large equipment. For SUR35 the possibility of increasing the operating space has been envisaged through the usage of dedicated movable basis allowing for linear robot’s movement. Additionally, for this robot, a series of gripers for palletizing has been designed. In order to maintain the precision and repeatability of SUR35 movement at the increased lifting capacity, Mitsubishi servo drives J3 series with absolute encoders of high resolution and Nabtesco cycloidal joints - characterized by minimum angle backlash - have been applied.

It can be argued that robots due to their functionalities, as well as DUAL structures, constitute an equivalent of the human body at the process of assembling components. Each robot of SUR family has a different kinematic structure, optimized by intended usage. Brushless motors to drive all axes have been used, for they ensure high speed and accuracy. In the construction of the robots, a modern backlash‑free harmonic and cycloical joints, which enable achievement of excellent mechanical parameters while attaining small size and mass, have been applied. The work of the robot is monitored by our own easy and intuitive graphical interface which enables a quick setup for people not familiar with the robotics.
